It just won't break loose. Tried a little heat but don't want to melt the frame or the barrel nut o-ring.The screws actually flex the thing to clamp it onto the barrel shroud, so it got loose and the screws got stripped rapidly. Walther USA/S&W made it right when I called and sent me a replacement long barrel and weight/hardware set, AND the short barrel conversion.
